“There are years that ask questions, and years that answer.”
-Zora Neale Hurston, American author
I consider that quote at every year’s end. For me, 2017 was a year of answers. It was a year of discernment, of reckonings.
It was a year of being honest about who I am and what I need to thrive. It was a year of backing away from “forcing” things, to protecting my heart, my energy, my time.
Allowing myself to love what I love, and be in the present moment more.
At 53, it was a long time coming — and there will always be more to come, as long as I’m alive.
